Notes- This event is RAIN OR SHINE. Â We do not have a rain date. Â Twelve teams signed up before the deadline. Â All games will be played at Lyons. Â The first games BEGIN (please start on time) at 12:30 p.m. and the last games begin at 7:30 p.m. Â Home team is the team listed on the bottom of each game. Â It's possible that some teams will be short on players at a particular game time. So, people may be provided an opportunity to play in extra games. Â More kickball=more awesome. Am I right? Â KVKL will provide kballs, scoreboards, scoresheets, and clipboards/pens. Â All proceeds will go to the Douglas County Dental Clinic.
Food- A grill will be provided for anyone who wants to bring your own food to cook. Â Some snacks will be available (similar to last year).
Sunday's forecast- 44-47 degrees with a slight chance of rain.
Possible, then absurd scenarios- In the event that a tie occurs between teams in a pod (for example, two or three teams are tied @ 1-1), the team that has allowed the fewest runs will advance to the final game. Â In the event that teams are tied for fewest runs allowed, we'll go with the time tested method of rock-paper-scissors (best of three if you'd like). Â Home teams for the 7:30 games will be decided by a coin flip.
As we are going WITHOUT refs, please keep sportsmanship at the forefront of your competitive consciousness. Â We are playing for a cause: fundraising and fun. Â Recycling bins will be on-site (aluminum, glass, and plastic).
There will be a limited number shirts for sale ($10). Â Please email with any questions you may have. Â Otherwise, see you Sunday.
