Hello 2009 KVKL Kickball captains, It's kickball time again! Registration for the 2010 KVKL summer league is now open to returning teams from last season. The registration deadline for returning teams is March 15th. You must have all of your registration paperwork turned in by that date, along with the registration fee, or you run the risk of not having a spot in the league. As in years past, there are already many new teams chomping at the bit to get a spot. So don't let your team down and get your stuff turned in! A few changes for the 2010 season: -For returning teams, the $150 registration fee is now due at the same time that the roster is due. Because the city of Lawrence has yet to determine the cost of the fields, KVKL reserves the right to increase the registration fee if the funds are needed. At this point, it looks like we should be covered. -It has been many years in the works and in an attempt to ensure that all KVKL kickballers will continue to get to play this game we love so much, KVKL now has release forms that are required to be signed by all participants. There is a captain release form to be signed by the captains of each team and player release forms that each individual player must sign. These release forms are attached. Captains must turn in a signed release form with their roster and registration fee. Individual players must sign the player release and turn into the league office prior to playing. For the 2010 season, I (Nick Lerner) will be the acting commissioner. I've got a tough act to follow (thank you Deron for a great 2009 season) and I'm willing and eager to hear your input.
