Hello KVKL Nation, The match-ups for Week 11 are finalized.  We will release the Week 11 schedule at the Podcast, so come out to The Jazzhaus Tuesday night @ 9pm if you want to get that information first. We have two exciting GOTW match-ups picked, and I will e-mail all the captains to open the voting polls after the podcast.  Voting ends on Thursday @ 5pm, so check your e-mails before then!  One vote per team. All games next week will be moved up 30 minutes (except GOTW) due to the sun setting earlier.  Games will be at 5pm & 6:30pm with GOTW remaining at 9pm.  The equipment shed will be open 45 minutes prior to game time.  Equipment is due back at the shed by 8:45pm.  Since games are starting earlier you should have plenty of time to get your equipment in by 8:45pm.  If there is not someone at the shed when you show up it is ok to leave your equipment by the garage door, but this is NOT an excuse to be late! Week 11 is considered part of regular season play, so those games will count towards tournament eligibility.  Remember, a player must play in at least 4 games to be eligible for the tournament. We will use the Week 11 games as a tool for tournament seeding.  We selected the Week 11 match-ups based on a team's performance in pool play and both overall & pool record.  We also tried to avoid as many rematches as possible, but it is inevitable that we have a couple.  Everything worked out allowing the top two teams in each pool get an opportunity to play opponents in the pool above them. The standings on the website are correctly ordered according to pool play performance.  We had four sets of 3-way ties; tie-breakers decided by runs allowed amongst the 3 teams in question. The teams with 3-way ties were the following: Pool 3:  Party!!, Slowride, Shaolin Shadowboxers Pool 6:  Gang Green, The Rockets, Balls Deep Pool 7:  Ghosts, Brewballers, Dirty Mike & The Boyz Pool 8:  The Jazzhaus, Spacepussy, Bald Beavers   Because of the scheduling, holidays, and the expansion of the tournament this season, we will not be able to offer an All-Star Game this year.  I hope that the quality of match-ups for Week 11 AND the addition of the Reasonably Awesome Bracket (battle for 9^th place) makes up for the lack of an All Star Game.
