Hi All,

This year I am heading up the newly created Stats Committee. The main goal of this group is to consolidate the work that several stat geeks have been doing on their own for years. I have created a Facebook group for discussion. If you are on facebook and are interested please ask for a invite at: www.facebook.com/groups/896338570507193/. If you are not on Facebook, feel free to send me a email at: artstewweb@gmail.com to be included in the group for non-facebook sharing and discussions. Also, I personally use Google Spreadsheets to do my stat keeping, so I will be sharing my work that way, and hopefully we can find even more ways to share our work.

Some goals of the group for this year:
1. Help people learn to properly score games, marking all of the possible information for each game.
2. Improve the way teams are compared through analysis of statistical data.
3. Share the work load of statistical analysis.

There are many possibilities in the future for improvement to the website to be able to easily enter and display team and invidividual statistics. I hope to work with this group to refine how that could function.

I will be at the Ref Clinic on May 5th to help anyone who is interested in becoming a better scorekeeper, to answer questions about this group, and hopefully do some in-game scorekeeping examples.
