So you’ve bought new cleats, team shirts and 8.5 balls.  The KVKL has brought you new rules, one new team and a port-a-john all season at hobbs. 

Our season starts today.  One big change reminder, games are now 5pm & 7pm with game of the week at 9pm.  Our 2013 debut game of the week features Reign of Terror (former Sacred Sword) and Channel 6 Toe Pokes.

Look for our usual green containers to throw away your cans in.  Again we will be donating all of our cans, to Cans for the Community.  Clean up teams for week one will be West Coast Saloon, Wildman Attack Force and Tellerdactyls.

This year we welcome all KVKL players, friends and family to Harbor Lights (1031 Massachusetts).  After the game of the week if you are 21+ (with ID) it’s $2 to come into harbor. There will be DJs outside, foosball, pool and darts on the inside plus conversations about kickball all around.  Monies from the door go to our chosen charities this year (Penn house / Social Service League) and towards the scoreboard project.

 It’s my 10^th year playing in the KVKL and each year it seems I get more and more excited to play kickball.  Good luck to all 32 teams this season.  Let’s all win some games, welcome new KVKL players, reunite with summer sports friends, raise some money for local charities and celebrate our favorite sport, kickball!
