Hello Everybody and Welcome to Kaw Valley Kickball 2015!

Lets get the balls rolling and kicking in style!
I'm thrilled to represent the KVKL board as Commissioner this year. I've been playing for years (currently for Basilride), but you may also know me from shouting over Cougar on the podcast, cleaning at GOTW, lending an ear at the after party, or watching over the ref clinics. I'm reining in my shouting this year and focusing on everything else!

Our tech-savvy realtor, Nick Lerner, has left the board - but thank goodness he hasn't left the league! We welcome Ben Wright of the Bagels to take Nick's place. In 2014 Ben led the Bad News Bagels by volunteering to feed the GOTW crowd in Week 2 and kicked butt on the field all season! He's already stepped up in countless ways and we are really excited to have him.

Last year we opened up GOTW for more food, and we'd love to have some teams step up again and help raise money for our cause. If you are up to the task, just contact the board with what you would be interested in serving and we'll work with you to assign you a date.

• April 1st Returning Team Registration Due
  ** NEW REQUIREMENTS. Remember there is a list of teams waiting to take your spot. Try to get all these things turned in on time!
  Returning Team Requirements include: Registration paperwork, Team Dues, and Captain's Waivers.

• April 15th New Team Registrations Due
  If new teams are added to the league they will pay their dues by May 1st, but Captain's Waivers are due with registration paperwork.

• April 19th Spring Tournament (time & place tbd)
  Feel free to sign up for this at any time. We will update time and place as soon as we have it nailed down.

• April 22nd Captains Meeting (A team captain or representative is required to attend.)

• May 31st First Games of 2015

  Be sure to keep your eyes open for ref clinic dates. We have a lot of new ideas to make sure reffing is better then ever.

The most exciting thing that’s going to happen this year is a huge goal we've been working towards for quite a while: SCOREBOARD!!!!

We will be posting more information about this very soon! I can't even begin to name all of the board members and volunteers who worked tirelessly to help us achieve this accomplishment! I know its been a dream since before I joined the board in 2010.

There is already so much to do before we get together again!  Let's make this a great summer!
